SJS World School
CASE STUDY
Challenge
Established in 1986, St. John’s School is an independent, IB World Continuum School educating 570 students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12. Their previous logo was overly detailed and too traditional. It didn’t represent the progressive attitudes of the educators at SJS who nurture the minds of thinkers and innovators. SJS had previously hired a team for the rebrand but nothing was quite hitting the mark for their many stakeholders. Covet was hired to do justice to the vision of the school community from administrators to students to parents.
Solution
Originally called ‘St. John’s School’, rebranding to SJS was an important consideration. The logo mark was always going to retain an eagle as the feature, an historic symbol to the school. The contemporary stylization of the eagle communicates that this is a progressive, forward-thinking school. The outstretched wing feels open and welcoming while the star communicates adventure and aspiration. The circular shape feels wholesome and is extremely versatile. The branding package was completed with a full stationery suite and Brand Standards Guidelines.

Britt took over midway through the rebranding project for St. John’s School. Despite entering at a later stage, she immediately developed an affinity for the brand and quickly grasped the challenges we faced. In a short period, she crafted a contemporary look and feel for St. John’s School that elevated our brand strategy while retaining a connection to the school’s heritage and history. I would not hesitate to work with her again; she was an absolute pleasure to collaborate with.
