Though there is great demand for holiday events, there are few that engage adults and children alike in an easily accessible and affordable way. Enter Aurora Winter Festival to the Vancouver and Toronto markets. Aurora aims to dazzle festive spirit seekers of all ages with a large outdoor festival complete with a skating river, Santa’s workshop, rides, live entertainment, a market and more. To promote this epic event Aurora needed a striking brand design.
Collective X, the planners behind Aurora Winter Festival, had a clear vision. They tasked Covet to design a custom word mark that would feel magical and festive but not be overtly Christmassy. This direction dictated the colour palette as well, which avoided traditional Christmas colours and was instead sampled from photos of northern lights. The object of the brand design is to inspire wonder, engage youthful fantasy and appeal to adult sensibilities all at once.
We knew we needed a graphic designer with imagination to create the branding and logo design for Aurora Winter Festival. Britt isn’t afraid to experiment and to push your expectations. She has unfailingly provided stellar work, often on tight timelines and always with a great attitude. We can tell she feels personally invested in the success of the event, which is a huge advantage when hiring a contractor–especially a graphic designer.
